Safe spaces heal

They inspire, provide respite, cultivate creativity, care and joy while manifesting community spirit. The Hub Collective is the only safe community space in Bequia for youth and creatives.

We have a deep and abiding love and passion to inspire, to fight cultural amnesia, and to diminish the mindsets of scarcity that have kept our people in generational poverty. The poverty we are attacking with our intentionality goes beyond the material. We want to recover the essence of our people through the offering of sanctuary. We are knitting and weaving threads of care through the arts, music, recovering our heritage and culture, healing and our environment. We invite you to journey with us, to witness the internal transformation of our people, the passing on of our stories, and the lighting of the creative spark. Journey with us as we twinkle, flicker and flame.

Reversing Scarcities
of the Mind and Spirit

Reversing Scarcities of the Mind and Spirit presents a toolkit of alternative healing processes that provide connection, healing and rehabilitation opportunities for families, youth, displaced people living on Bequia as well as SVG-based NGO relief workers and grassroots volunteers. The programming is facilitated by six regional wellness, mental health, and trauma therapy experts and supported by a global humanitarian organisation.

Creative Recovery
Summer Camp

Our annual Creative Recovery Summer Camp hosts sessions each summer that offer Bequia youth a powerful way to integrate holistic development and knowledge building in a safe space. Our programming addresses social cohesion, grows communication and developmental skills, while highlighting the need for mentorship and leadership training. Youth learn about Bequia’s rich and diverse history, art-making, storytelling, drumming, dancing, poetry, the natural world and breath and body movement.

“The Hub Collective has been one of our more successful investments. Their leadership is stable and they have broad participation from their members. As the organization has matured they are constantly extending their reach into more areas of the community where they sense a cultural, educational or artistic need.”

Richard W. Molten, Director of Grenadines Partnership Fund
